- Cyclical energization of components and assemblies to maintain their functionality (such as displays or capacitors)
- Storage of electronic components and assemblies in nitrogen dry packs as an alternative for short term storage
Comprehensive examinations to ensure quality and analyze failures
One single component of poor quality or a badly soldered joint can impair the function and quality of an entire electronic assembly.
To ensure flawless functionality and quality, the comprehensive analysis of electronic components, especially of those of rather dubious origins, is of essential importance. With the help of a variety of specific procedures and methods, electronic components and assemblies can be selectively and reliably examined in the HTV Institute for material analysis with a high test depth. Weak points and possible failures can be identified in time. As part of a predictive company policy, the risk of major production issues, contractual penalties for late delivery and possible recourse claims can be minimized. Errors that have already occurred can be quickly and comprehensively identified, localized and subjected to a precise analysis at HTV Conservation GmbH.
Globally unique Long-Term Storage
Due to the constantly increasing number of discontinued products and the resulting lack of availability of electronic components for mass production and repair of various end products, the storage of important components is of more and more significance.
However, the conventional storage of buffer components in nitrogen dry packs or corrosion prevention foils offers a solution of up to 2 years – at best – since, among other things, incipient ageing processes, such as diffusion, influence the processability and functionality of electronic components and assemblies after only 1-2 years.
Using the unique HTV-TAB® process (“Thermisch-absorbtive Begasung”, meaning a thermal-absorptive gas treatment) developed by the HTV Conservation GmbH, the decisive physical-chemical aging processes of electronic components can be brought to a near halt by a special conserving as well as pollutant-eliminating atmosphere and specific individual temperature reduction. This allows a long-term storage for up to 50 years.
The quality, processability and functionality of the electronic components are ensured for several decades, and the discontinuation of spare parts loses its sting.
