Since 2014, the Stifterverband has recognised research-based companies for the special responsibility they assume for the state and society with the “Innovative through Research” seal.
The Stifterverband is one of the largest private science funding organisations in Germany. In addition to its commitment to young academics, universities and cutting-edge research, it is also its task to examine and evaluate the German research and innovation system. The “Innovative through Research” seal of approval is the result of the statistics on research and development activities in German companies that are collected annually on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
